Urgent MED Partner Search - Open Knowledge Base of Energy in Buildings
Slovenian faculty is developing project proposal for the first call of Interreg Mediterranean programme. The objective is to develop a conceptual fairly complex model of energy efficiency in buildings including all phases of the building lifecycle of materials and technologies aimed at increasing energy efficiency. The faculty is looking for project partners among municipalities, energy offices, organizations preparing energy policies and standards, and SMEs (i.e. producers of the ecological building materials, IT) from eligible countries (Spain, Portugal, France, Italy, Greece, Cyprus, Croatia).
The basic objective of the proposed research is to develop a conceptual model of energy efficiency in buildings. The project will develop a Web application so that the knowledge base may be populated by various users, which will be invited to participate. The developed information system will be used in an open way, since its users will benefit from it, but also feedback their knowledge and experience. The project will also explore how such information system can contribute to the development of new technologies and approaches for building and renovating buildings with the primary goal to maximize energy efficiency.
The coordinator is looking for project partners among SME, energy offices, organization preparing energy policies / plans with the following roles in the project:

SMEs with the knowledge in ecological materials productions or IT specialisation (i.e. database ontologies).

Energy offices with expertise in standardisations, evaluation of building materials from the viewpoint of ecology and other criteria.

Organisations, working on standardisations, legislation, environmental product declarations.

Municipalities for testing and implementation of the system in practice
