A German company, active in machine tools, has developed wind energy plants with vertical axes. An important component of the technological innovation is the new rotor concept. Compared with conventional vertical axis plants it makes an increased energy output possible with large reduction of the otherwise usual, annoying background noises of all wind-power plants. The company seeks partners from industry and/or research for technical cooperation, manufacturing and/or a commercial agreement.
The inventor is a small and medium sized German enterprise, active in machine tools, located in the heart of the German region of Saxony, which is well known for machine tools since the beginning of the last century. After its business start-up in 1989 in a technology centre, the company changed its location to a technology park. The innovation power can be demonstrated with over 40 patents and utility patents.The product range reaches from simple containers and coverings over advertising media up to strongly resilient sheets for wind-power plants and storefront panels. 55 employees are working with the Company group concerned with construction, production and assembly of fibre-reinforced composites.Since 2009, two plants are producing at the German location as well as in several facilities in Poland, Czech Republic, Romania and Serbia.
The crucial difference between these wind-power plants and the commercial, well-known wind plants exists in the technology of the vertical axis. Current and Potential Domain of Application: Environmentally-friendly generation of energy and operators of wind parks.
The firm is looking for a technical cooperation with joint further development. Furthermore, the firm wants to achieve a manufacturing agreement for transfer of knowledge in new raw materials, a new way to use an existing production line or change in the partner sought’s currently used technology such as installations, process or others.
The company is seeking partners who are integrating the technology into new or existing products; adapting and further developing the technology via technical and/or research cooperation agreements.
The aim is to make the existing technology available for other companies with support from the German partner.
